Miller Calberto is a Senior Partner for Adapting Spaces and Occupational Therapist/ Rehabilitation Supervisor for a long- term rehabilitation facility in Brooklyn, NY. He has 10 years of experience in healthcare and holds a MS in Occupational Therapy from Mercy College as well as a BS in Biomedical Laboratory Science from The CUNY Graduate School. He is also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist focusing on helping seniors and people with disabilities remain independent at home. He has worked in several medical institutions during his healthcare career some of which include New York Presbyterian Medical Center, Lutheran Medical Center as well as The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Mr. Calberto’s clinical experience also includes a variety of occupational therapy practice areas with a diverse population such as outpatient pediatrics, outpatient and acute adult care as well as sub-acute care. As a caregiver himself, he is on a mission to help seniors and people with disabilities live more comfortable and independent lives while at home.


Esther Calberto is a Senior Partner for Adapting Spaces and Occupational Therapist working for the NYC Department of Education. She obtained a MS in Occupational Therapy and BS in Health Sciences from Touro College. She also earned a BS in Speech Pathology with a minor in Psychology from Queens College and is certified as a Bilingual Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. Ms. Gonzalez is a guest speaker for the Mercy College Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and has worked with the non-for- profit organization Rebuilding Together NYC. She has been working in the health care field for 10 years and has experience in a variety of clinical settings with individuals of varying ages and diagnoses. Her clinical experience includes Early Intervention, NYC CPSE and CSE Schools, Pediatric Sensory Gym, New York Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell Medical Center- Burn Rehabilitation and Acute Care, Montefiore/ Jack D. Weiler Hospital, as well as Skilled Nursing Facilities in the NYC area. Her mission is to educate and help individuals of all ages and diagnoses become more successful in performing their day to day activities.
